The Ducati 1098 is a high-performance superbike manufactured from 2007 to 2009, known for its powerful L-twin engine, impressive torque-to-weight ratio, and a design that returned to the aesthetic of the iconic 916 series. It was succeeded by the 1198 model line.

The 1098's performance was top-tier for its era, competing with Japanese four-cylinder superbikes and excelling particularly in acceleration due to its massive torque.
Engine: The standard model is powered by a 1,099cc liquid-cooled L-twin Desmodromic engine.
Standard 1098: It produces a manufacturer-claimed 160 horsepower and 90.4 lb-ft of torque.
1098 S: This variant featured Ohlins suspension and forged Marchesini wheels.
1098 R: The highest-spec homologation version had a larger 1,198cc engine, boosting power to 180 horsepower and 99.1 lb-ft of torque. It was also lighter, with a dry weight of 165 kg (364 lb)
