Description

Carve your own line into the backcountry on this ** 2027 Polaris 850 RMK® SPS 165**—a mountain sled that looks as sharp standing still as it feels once the snow turns steep, deep, and unpredictable. Finished in ****, it has that clean, purpose-built presence that says “first up the ridge, last to quit,” whether it’s leaning against a trailer at dawn or throwing a rooster tail of powder at tree line.

At the heart of the fun is the **Patriot™ 850** two-cylinder, liquid-cooled **2-stroke**—a compact, high-energy setup with **840 cc** of displacement and **fuel injection** (gas/oil injected) that’s ready to respond the moment your thumb asks the question. It’s the kind of power that makes tight terrain feel less like a negotiation and more like a conversation—quick, direct, and always eager. A **pull start** keeps things simple and dependable, and it’s happy on **regular fuel**, so you can focus more on your ride plan than your fuel plan. The **single exhaust** gives it that unmistakable mountain-sled attitude without needing to shout about it.

Power gets to the snow through a **CVT** with **belt drive**, paired with **P-85 / TEAM LWT** clutches that are built for the rhythm of mountain riding—on and off the throttle, hopping features, and rolling into sidehills. And when the trail back to the truck gets tight or the parking lot gets crowded, **reverse** is there to save you from the awkward shuffle.

The chassis story matters just as much as the horsepower, and the **MATRYX aluminum frame** keeps the feel light, precise, and eager to change direction. With a **36–38-inch adjustable ski stance**, you can tune how planted or how playful it feels depending on the day’s mission. Up front, the **RMK® React™ independent A-arm** suspension delivers **9 inches of travel**, and out back the RMK rear suspension offers **16 inches**—all controlled by **Polaris IFP adjustable gas shocks** (front, rear, and center). Translation: when the snow is perfect, it’s smooth and predictable; when the snow is chunky, it stays composed so you can keep your line.

This is a long-track mountain machine with the footprints to prove it: a **Series 8** track measuring **165 x 15** with tall **2.75-inch lugs** that are made for digging in and climbing out. Add in **Gripper® skis** with **carbide skags**, and you’ve got the bite and guidance to keep the front end doing what you’re telling it—even when the snow is trying to vote otherwise.

The rider space keeps the focus where it belongs: you, standing, shifting, and steering. A **one-piece vinyl seat** fits the solo mission (it’s a **1-seat** sled), while **rubber grips** and **heated, adjustable hand grips** keep your hands in the game when the temperature drops. The **ProTaper™ handlebar** gives a solid, natural feel in technical terrain, and practical touches like a **fuel gauge** and **temperature warning light** help you ride smarter deeper into the day. The **low, tinted LED lighting** adds a crisp finishing touch—useful when the ride runs long and the mountains start throwing shadows.

Big mountain days don’t need to be complicated—they need the right machine. In ****, this 850 RMK® SPS 165 brings the energy, the traction, and the control to turn fresh snow into fresh stories.
